Cara kerja sistem Hybrid On-Grid adalah energi matahari dirubah ke tegangan DC oleh modul PV, kemudian dialirkan ke baterai dengan lebih dahulu melalui inverter Hybrid On-Grid. Inverter Hybrid On-Grid berfungsi untuk merubah tegangan DC ke tegangan AC, melakukan kontrol pengisian pada baterai, melakukan kontrol dari baterai ke jaringan listrik saat terjadi listrik PLN padam, serta melakukan sinkronisasi frekuensi, phase dan sinewave murni saat masuk jaringan PLN.
